Download the MCE Display setup and run it to install
the application.
Once you've setup MCE Display, you have to
restart your PC!
Note:
MCE Display only works with displays built by CrystalFontz!
Every time you start MCE, the LCD
display will start showing the MCE status. It will look like this:

- At the left of the first line of the display the type of media being
played (music, video, TV, TV recording, CD, DVD, etc.) is shown
- At the right of the first line of the display the playing status (play,
paused, stopped, fast forwarding, rewinding, etc.) is shown
- The second and third line of the display show information about the
media being played, e.g. the name of the song and the name of the performing
artist
- The fourth line of the display shows a counter and a horizontal bar
that indicate the current position in the media being played
Once you've setup MCE Display, you can change its settings from within MCE.
Go to the option "More Programs" on the start page of MCE:

And select the option "LCD Settings" on the programs page:

Now the
following window will open up:

The backlight and contrast settings can be changed by pressing the "arrow
left" and "arrow right" buttons on your MCE remote control.
You can navigate between the sliders and buttons by using the "arrow down" and "arrow
up" buttons.
By selecting the "Settings" button of this window, you can specify a number of technical
settings for your LCD display:

You can specify:
- The (physical or virtual) COM port to which the LCD display is
connected
- The baudrate for the communication between the PC and the LCD
display
- The number of rows your LCD display can show
- The number of columns your LCD display can show
